Response to "Welcome to the Neighborhood"

No, the song or tune (not much of a song) was done entirely using
garage band software.
My voice was modified using an pitch shift of one octave down with a
flange added to create the monster like sound of the final mix. The
message of the piece was a reflection on the shrinking state of the world.
Countries becoming like neighborhoods, don't you think?
I used a mix of middle eastern instrumentation with elements of rock
and funk to create a world fusion type of sound to reinforce the theme
of the shrinking world. They all go together quite well, one can only
hope that our world future can be so harmonious.
Thanks for your comments, and I'm glad you liked it.

Progress thoughts about this blog

Well, I've finally assembled all the parts that I intended to assemble in this pastiche from the recent past of my musical endeavors.
I also want to list:
- house bassist at the Connecticut Cabaret Theatre
- frequent substitute bassist with the Brazilian Jazz Group Samba Brazil
- regional bassist with the jazz singer Napua Davoy
- Bassist with the Central Connecticut State University Orchestra
I think this will give you a snapshot or insight into what I do musically.
Tell me what you think.
Peace,
Mr "P"
